January 25th 2004 before lunch
Four hours of sleep, eighteen hours of work; my Friday was pretty taxing but I'm determined to finish some things that I've started. The item of interest on Friday was a particularly cool (in my opinion) database backed object. Actually, the whole framework I've been working on is particuarly cool. Well, again, in my opinion. So on Friday night, after everyone had left and the lights had gone out in the office, I was able to finish a little piece of something and marvel at it for about five minutes before I began to wonder if it would ever see the light of day.

Proposition: Somewhere, there exists a simple plan for being which will result in the most happiness for more people than all other plans currently in common use.

Supplemental proposition: The plan is codified in a sociologist's Ph.D. dissertation.

Corollary: The plan will, therefore, never be seen.

Revelation: The plan will be found to be a derivative of Hinayana Buddhism.

Inferential conclusions: (1) The wheel has already been invented; (2) Some people insist upon using travois.
